Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4–5 lemons)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups filtered water
- Ice cubes for serving
Instructions
- Prepare the strawberries by rinsing them under cold water, hulling, and slicing.
- Juice the lemons until you have about one cup of fresh lemon juice.
- If desired, make simple syrup by combining equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat until dissolved.
- In a large pitcher, combine sliced strawberries with lemon juice and simple syrup (if using). Stir gently to mix.
- Add 4 cups of cold water and stir until well combined.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour before serving over ice. Garnish with extra strawberries or lemon slices if desired.
