Ingredients
  

Beef and Marinade
  • 1 pound beef sirloin thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce for marinade
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch for marinade
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil for marinade
Vegetables
  • 1 cup bell pepper sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup carrots sliced
  • 1 cup snap peas
Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce for stir fry
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ginger minced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced
Other
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for cooking
  • 2 cups cooked rice for serving

Method
 

Prepare the Marinade
  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Add the sliced beef and marinate for at least 10 minutes.
Cook the Beef
  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok over high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove from the wok and set aside.
Stir-Fry the Vegetables
  1. In the same wok, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the bell pepper, broccoli, carrots, and snap peas. Stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
Combine and Serve
  1. Return the beef to the wok. Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, ginger, and garlic. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  2. Serve hot over cooked rice.

Notes

Feel free to add or substitute any vegetables based on your preference. Serve with additional soy sauce if desired.
