Ingredients
  

Eggs
  • 8 large eggs preferably organic
Cajun Seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning store-bought or homemade
Salt
  • 1 teaspoon salt for boiling water
Water
  • 8 cups water for boiling
Ice
  • 2 cups ice for ice bath

Method
 

Boil the Eggs
  1. In a large pot, bring 8 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 teaspoon of salt.
  2. Once the water is boiling, gently add the 8 eggs using a slotted spoon.
  3. Boil the eggs for 10-12 minutes depending on desired doneness.
Cool the Eggs
  1. Prepare an ice bath by filling a bowl with ice and cold water.
  2. Once the eggs are done boiling, transfer them immediately to the ice bath to stop the cooking process.
  3. Let the eggs sit in the ice bath for at least 5 minutes.
Season the Eggs
  1. Peel the cooled eggs and place them in a bowl.
  2. Sprinkle the Cajun seasoning over the eggs, ensuring they are well coated.
  3. Serve immediately or refrigerate for later use.
