Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients
  • 3 medium ripe bananas mashed
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips semi-sweet

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Add the beaten egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Mix well.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  3. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

For extra flavor, consider adding nuts or spices like cinnamon to the batter.
