Cooking the Rice
- In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice, water, and salt. Bring to a boil over high heat.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed.
- Remove from heat and let it sit, covered, for 5 minutes.
Flavoring the Rice
- Fluff the rice with a fork and add the lime juice, olive oil, and chopped cilantro.
- Gently mix until well combined and serve warm.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of cumin or garlic powder to the rice while cooking.
