Method
 

Making the Dough
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine masa harina and salt.
  2. Gradually add warm water, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for a few minutes until smooth.
  4. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
Cooking the Tortillas
  1. Divide the dough into 8 equal balls.
  2. Preheat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Flatten each ball using a tortilla press or rolling pin until thin.
  4. Cook each tortilla in the skillet for about 1 minute on each side, until lightly browned.
  5. Keep cooked tortillas warm in a clean kitchen towel.
