Making the Dough
- In a mixing bowl, combine masa harina and salt.
- Gradually add warm water, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough for a few minutes until smooth.
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
Cooking the Tortillas
- Divide the dough into 8 equal balls.
- Preheat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
- Flatten each ball using a tortilla press or rolling pin until thin.
- Cook each tortilla in the skillet for about 1 minute on each side, until lightly browned.
- Keep cooked tortillas warm in a clean kitchen towel.
