Method
Cook Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare Cheese Sauce
- In a mixing bowl, combine cottage cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, milk, butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth and well combined.
Combine and Bake
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta with the cheese sauce. Mix well.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. In a small bowl, mix together the bread crumbs and parmesan cheese, then sprinkle evenly over the pasta.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
Serve
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your creamy cottage cheese mac and cheese!
