  • 2 large cucumbers sliced thinly
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon dill weed dried or fresh
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 tablespoon sugar optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash the cucumbers thoroughly and slice them thinly.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, white vinegar, dill weed, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and sugar (if using).
  3. Whisk the dressing ingredients together until smooth.
  4. Add the sliced cucumbers to the bowl and gently toss to coat them in the dressing.
  5. Cover the salad and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

This salad can be made a few hours in advance and stored in the refrigerator. Adjust seasoning to taste before serving.
