Method
Prepare the Dough
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add melted butter, sugar, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
- Gradually add flour, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Make the Filling
- In a bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon together.
- Spread softened butter over the rolled-out dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly on top.
Shape the Rolls
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 12 equal pieces.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and cover. Let them rise for another 30 minutes.
Bake the Rolls
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake the rolls for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Prepare the Frosting
- In a bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until creamy.
