Ingredients
  

Bread and Cheese
  • 8 slices sourdough bread
  • 1 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Jalapeno Mixture
  • 2 medium jalapenos seeded and diced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
Butter
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter softened

Method
 

Prepare the Jalapeno Mixture
  1. In a bowl, combine the diced jalapenos, cilantro, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well and set aside.
Make the Cheese Mixture
  1. In another bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and mozzarella cheese until well combined.
Assemble the Sandwiches
  1. Spread the cheese mixture evenly on 4 slices of sourdough bread.
  2. Top each with the jalapeno mixture, then place another slice of bread on top to form a sandwich.
Cook the Sandwiches
  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter.
  2. Once melted, place the sandwiches in the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Serve
  1. Remove the sandwiches from the skillet, slice in half, and serve hot.
