Chicken
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Salsa Verde
  • 1 cup salsa verde store-bought or homemade
Spices
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
Oil
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
Garnish
  • 0.25 cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1 lime lime wedges for serving

Method
 

Prepare the Chicken
  1. Season the chicken breasts with cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
Cook with Salsa Verde
  1. Once the chicken is cooked, pour the salsa verde over the chicken in the skillet.
  2. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for an additional 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Serve
  1. Remove the skillet from heat and garnish the chicken with chopped cilantro.
  2. Serve with lime wedges on the side.
