- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
- Milk (to thin frosting)
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until bubbly. Mix in melted butter and eggs.
- Add Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add yeast mixture; stir until combined.
- Knead: Turn dough onto a floured surface; knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
- Rise: Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot until doubled (about 1 hour).
- Make Filling: Combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll out dough, spread with softened butter, sprinkle filling, then roll tightly.
- Slice & Rise Again: Cut into 1-inch pieces; place in greased pans and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake & Frost: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Mix powdered sugar with milk to make frosting and drizzle over warm rolls.
