  • 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • Milk (to thin frosting)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until bubbly. Mix in melted butter and eggs.
  2. Add Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add yeast mixture; stir until combined.
  3. Knead: Turn dough onto a floured surface; knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Rise: Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot until doubled (about 1 hour).
  5. Make Filling: Combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll out dough, spread with softened butter, sprinkle filling, then roll tightly.
  6. Slice & Rise Again: Cut into 1-inch pieces; place in greased pans and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake & Frost: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Mix powdered sugar with milk to make frosting and drizzle over warm rolls.
